Willowpaws Persians

Grand Champion Riascatz Georgette winning Overall Best in Show
Welcome to Willowpaws Persians - I am Zoe, the human responsible for these beautiful cats. When I got my first Persian nearly 10 years ago, I never dreamed I would end up showing and breeding this wonderful breed. I was warned by the breeder of my first Persian that I would not stop at just one, and this is a warning I pass on to everyone that comes to meet our cats today.
I was completely clueless when I started out, but over the years I have gained a lot of knowledge, not only relating to breed standards and type, but also health and welfare, pedigrees and genetics. Persians are not easy to breed. We invest a minimum of six months into every litter; from conception through birth, to the day they leave us (no younger than 14 weeks). In fact I tend to plan my litters a year or two in advance!
My "day job" as a Veterinary Physiotherapist gives me flexibility and time to ensure my kittens and cats are as pampered as they deserve to be. Our cattery is registered with both the GCCF and the CFA. Our kittens have been exported and shown all over the World, and we are proud to have some of the best bloodlines in the UK, Europe and America in our pedigree. A huge thanks must go to those breeders that have entrusted me with their cats over the years.
We are based in Suffolk (East Anglia) in beautiful, peaceful countryside. Our kittens are all born and raised in our house, and get exposed to all household noises from a young age. We have dogs, and our kittens regularly interact with these as they grow so they are fearless around their canine chums. Because of this, we will only allow kittens to go to homes where dogs are used to cats - as our cats are not at all scared of dogs, they will not run away from them (in actual fact they enjoy playing with them, especially their tails!)
We are welcoming to new breeders or those who want to learn more about breeding. All our kittens are sold as Non-Active, however, if you want to breed or are a breeder starting out, please be honest with us and we can help you find the right cats. Not all kittens are suitable for breeding. Everyone has to start somewhere and I am willing to help those with the right attitude - please be warned, Persians are not easy to breed, and there is no money to be made so only entertain the idea if you want to show your cats and can deal with a lot of heartache.
